Dear Xiaolin Dragonites,
Happy Holidays Xiaolin fandom! First of all, I owe you a long overdue response. Second, here’s a big shout-out to Megan Ryan! Thank you for your Xiaolin spirit, Megan, and for holding up the proverbial Spear of Lightning, which shed light onto my path and jolted me back from a long dragon nap. It’s true that bringing back Xiaolin has been a challenging journey for all of us who worked on the show. I learned a lot and grew as a professional and as a person.
But the most amazing part of this journey is that I now know that we have true fans out there. Fans who care and who have NOT given up on the show or given up on me. You’re right, Megan, we Xiaoliners never give up, even when the times are tough. It’s true that we still have no information on when, or whether, these final six episodes will ever air in the US on Disney XD. However, aside from just wishing and hoping that these shows will see the light on this channel, I wanted to share with you that we are working on getting digital distribution for these six episodes, as well as the entire season. XIAOLIN CHRONICLES will be seen, and heard, in PURE ENGLISH (thank you very much). It’s a matter of when. While we would love to put these shows online now for your enjoyment, we must also honor our agreements and contractual obligations. So fans, I ask for your patience, for that day shall soon come. And it will give me immense pleasure to share the details when the plans solidify. As Omi says: “All good things come to those who are good waiters!”
Now, here’s food for thought: What about a XIAOLIN MOVIE? How would you like that? Tell us if you’d like to see that in IMAX, 3D, 2D or in combo? Tell us what floats your Xiaolin boat and beyond!
